Image Resizer

Resize an image to the width and height you want and save it as PNG. With aspect-ratio lock enabled, changing one dimension automatically updates the other.

How to use

  1. Choose an image and its original dimensions are filled in automatically.
  2. Keep aspect ratio enabled and change either width or height.
  3. Press the button to save the PNG.

How it works

The browser decodes the source image, draws it to a Canvas at the requested dimensions, and exports the result as PNG. With aspect-ratio lock enabled, changing one side recalculates the other from the original width-to-height ratio.

When to use the pixel-art upscaler instead

Use this resizer for ordinary artwork, UI images, thumbnails, and downscaling. When enlarging pixel art by an integer factor, use the Pixel Art Upscaler instead because it disables smoothing and keeps every source pixel as a sharp block.

Production note

Keep the original source file and resize from it whenever possible. Repeatedly resizing an already resized image can accumulate blur or artifacts, and a game engine may apply its own texture scaling or compression again during import.

Limitations

Disabling aspect-ratio lock can stretch the image horizontally or vertically. Upscaling large images increases browser memory usage.

FAQ

Can I make the image larger than the original?

Yes, but regular images may blur when enlarged. Use the pixel-art upscaler for pixel art.

Can I edit only one dimension?

With aspect ratio enabled, editing either width or height immediately recalculates the other value.
