Transparent trim
Detect transparent pixels around characters and icons and keep only the needed area.
Supported formats
PNG and WebP with transparency are best suited.
How to use
- Choose a transparent image file.
- Press the button to remove unnecessary transparent edges.
- The resulting PNG downloads automatically.
How transparent bounds are found
The tool scans the image alpha channel and finds the smallest rectangle containing every pixel whose alpha value is greater than zero. The image is then cropped to that rectangle and exported as a new PNG.
Why faint shadows are kept
Any pixel that is not fully transparent counts as visible. A faint shadow, glow, or one stray semi-transparent pixel can therefore expand the crop bounds. Remove unwanted edge pixels in an editor first when you need a tighter crop.
Animation frames need one extra step
Trimming every animation frame independently can change each frame's canvas origin. If you trim a sequence, run the results through Pivot Aligner before playback or rebuilding a sprite sheet so the character keeps a consistent reference point.
Limitations
Semi-transparent shadows count as visible pixels. Fully transparent images cannot be processed.

Is the original file modified?
No. A new PNG file is created.
Does image quality decrease?
Only cropping is performed, so pixel quality is preserved.
